Volume!, a female popR&Bdance music singing and dancing harmony vocal act based in Los Angeles, is now adding 2 female singers, prior to recording and releasing a 12 song CD in Spring 2006.      

This opportunity applies if already interested in re locating to pursue a music career, or live in Los Angeles (Southern California) area.  We don’t wish to upset singer’s lifestyles to participate.  Yes, we help, financially and planning, if you relocate, and no, we don’t pay salaries or provide apartments. However we do what’s needed to settle you economically safe and secure.  No, you don’t have to pay to join the group.  The project already has a budget for recording and promotion.

Please understand we’re definite about certain matters.  We want singers that are single (not in serious relationship), non-full time students, and no kids.  We had too many unfortunate experiences to make any exceptions. We’re not judgmental of any lifestyle, we just want to be in best position the make the project a success. The group travels, is busy, and places a large burden on those personal lifestyles not suited for traveling lengths of time, due to personal obligations.  The basics of the group project are: Been working on the project for 2 years, recorded a 12 song CD, on which the new singers vocals will be added, done over 250 shows nationally, already have Managers, producers, songwriters, choreographers, a growing wardrobe.  Have a local cable tv show hosted by the group for exposure and promotion.   We want 2 more singers.  We have 2 girls we like, so far.

General information is provided here, but limited via emails, if you have many questions and want more information, please telephone during convenient daylight hours, we’re happy to talk about it.  We prefer all discussions be had with the singer directly, not through another person.  This is not a record label, this is an independent music project and group.  Privately financed and managed.  Please do what research you want to conduct, prior to responding, so you already know we’re serious and legit.  This is the music business and a new group, it’s not going to be perfect, unlike “So You Think You Can Dance”, “Making of a Boy Band” or “American Idol”.  Those are TV shows for entertainment, not real music business life.  You probably already know that.

How to audition: If you have an audio or video demo, great. You can overnight express mail it. You can sing via telephone initially.  You may feel awkward, but it’s done all the time for first listening. If you’re within 2 hours of LA, come in and sing and dance live.  If you audition live, you’re welcome to have an escort, there’s a comfortable waiting area in the lobby.  Our policy is no friends or family in auditions, don’t bring them in to meet us. We’ll meet them soon enough if you to join the group. If you have a camcorder, you can make a home audition video singing and dancing 3 songs of your choice.  Pick a method.  If all goes excellent, we’ll send you a CD with harmony parts and lyric sheets (2 songs) for you to learn, then you come in and sing and dance with the other girls. We won’t send a CD unless we really want you and you really want to join the group, up to that point. No, we don’t send pics in advance, of other girls. For certain we wouldn’t be talking to you if we didn’t feel you fit in with the image and style we have in mind.  That’s our decision. All the girls are over 18, can sing and dance and look great.  No attitudes, everyone is equal.  Everyone has a pleasant personality.  That’s part of how singers get selected for this.  No divas invited, please.  You have to earn being a diva.  After you sell 7 million CDs, you can apply to become a diva.  Not until, but some sure try.  Contact us, if this interests you.
